❌ What the Govt announced yesterday will make *no difference* to your constituents. ❌ You are sticking to the failed plan Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Gov put in place under the Conservatives. ❌ Blocks will remain uninsurable & flats unmortgageable. Change? What change?

Peter Bill The buildings insurance premiums on flats that are affected by building safety defects are often the bigger scam, not to mention the IPT the treasury is collecting on inflated premiums. Govt is distracting people by only looking at commissions.

Will Lewis Goodall ask Angela Rayner how she intends to resolve the UK's biggest public safety scandal, the #BuildingSafetyCrisis, as she woos the same construction industry that put profits over people's lives? LBC

Could not agree more, Keir Starmer. But your vociferous support for victims of the building safety scandal in Opposition seems to have drifted away. Nothing could be more important that being safe in your own home. #EndOurCladdingScandal #NotJustCladding

Truly appreciate Lewis Goodall for giving me the opportunity to speak for the 5.3 million leaseholders. The Labour Party promised to end leasehold in their manifesto. They need to stop the delays and resource this agenda. Or we will see disaffection with them and democracy grow.

Grenfell Tower to be demolished, ITV News can confirm. Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner told bereaved and survivors about the Government’s decision at a meeting tonight. The news was met with upset and anger, with some calling for the decision to be reversed.

I think freeholders and the government thought leaseholders weren't listening or looking, but they were, and now everyone else is too. Some simple choices to be made here.

If there's going to be a memorial to Grenfell, let's make it the removal of flammable cladding from the hundreds of buildings that still have it eight years later

“No excuses to not build 1.5m new homes, Rayner says” - more evidence of why ⁦Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Gov⁩ ⁦Angela Rayner⁩ remain in denial about the scale and impact of the #BuildingSafetyCrisis on new homes delivery. bbc.com/news/articles/…

72 people died at Grenfell. No-one, and no firm has been prosecuted and no-one has lost their job as a result. Over 2,400 other tower blocks are similarly dngerous. The government will need to respond on all these issues. housingtoday.co.uk/news/rayner-to…

Asked Lords Minister today about PAS9980 and sky high insurance costs for leaseholders. Insurance companies not convinced buildings now safe. Why doesn’t Government act to help?

Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Gov ... And postponing the building safety levy. ❌ What developers want, developers get. Meanwhile, up to 3 million people remain trapped in dangerous, unmortgageable & unsaleable flats. *Slow clap*

❌ Yesterday the Govt POSTPONED the building safety levy. ❌ Today they're giving more money to developers to build shared ownership flats, which they call 'affordable housing'. ❌ Another kick in the teeth for victims of the building safety crisis.

❗In its manifesto The Labour Party pledged to “take decisive action to improve building safety” and “put a renewed focus on ensuring those responsible for the building safety crisis pay to put it right”. ❌ Now @angelarayner chooses to protect developers 👇 thetimes.com/uk/politics/ar…

Keir Starmer Angela Rayner A safe and secure home is still a distant dream for hundreds of thousands of innocent leaseholders across the country. We're still waiting for change. Pity you forgot about our plight in last year's King's Speech after all your support in opposition. x.com/BBCPolitics/st…

Empty, hollow and hurtful words from your colleague Tracy Brabin WY 🌹 This will be why Labour will end up getting voted out. Blatant performative lies whilst normal people suffer every day!
