"Go home” isn’t a policy - it’s a racist chant. People who are legally living in Britain should never be told they don’t belong. Katie Lam - this is their home.

A great honour to be elected Chair of Huntingdon Labour yesterday 🌹 In May we did the unthinkable with Dr Alex Bulat gaining a County seat in St Ives - marking the first time it had ever been Labour I will strive to make sure in 2026 we can repeat the same success across Hunts 🇬🇧

🚨Who benefits from asylum hotels? 💷 Follow the money! 🔵 In 2019 the Tories signed contracts with three private companies with v little competition 🏨 They put asylum seekers in hotels, allowed costs to spiral, and made HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS in profit.

Good news from Cambridgeshire County Council - EV charging is now (finally!) operational at the St Ives Park & Ride. There are 9 chargers next to the bus stop, all powered by renewable energy generated on site through those solar panels. Let me know if you use them and what is your feedback!

Everyone commenting on the story that the foreign national offender released from prison got £500 - payments for voluntary or assisted removals - or discretionary payments to ease forced removals as if this is something the government just introduced… This is NOT a new policy

Thank you to Local Government Association (LGA), Grace Collins MBE and the team for the Young Councillors weekend training - with councillors from all different parties this time! My highlight this year was the session on chairing - although the workshop on not speaking like a politician was close...
