Our Rural Crime Action Team (RCAT) officers recovered just under one million pounds worth of suspected stolen property last year.

They also seized 163 vehicles suspected to be used in crime and prosecuted 83 suspects.

The copper's nose was tingling for our traffic cops when they spotted this Astra driving a little unusually in the north of the county in the early hours of yesterday (19 April).

Lo and behold, the driver had no licence and no insurance so was reported for the offences.

The 42-year-old was found with a stash of cocaine at a property in the east of the county on Christmas Day last year.

We have charged a man on suspicion of the murder of a Wisbech pensioner 11 years ago.

The man, 69, has been charged with the murder of Una Crown in Wisbech in 2013.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court this morning (16 April).
