Figures show that parents are significantly less likely to donate their child’s organs for lifesaving transplants and here are some of the reasons ⬇️
In 2021/22, only 52% of families gave consent for their child’s organs to be donated.

According to the NHS Blood+Transplant, there were 958 living donors in the UK in 22/23 🙌
In the past 20 years, living organ donations in the UK have trebled, accounting for 35% of transplants in 2019.

The NHS Blood+Transplant recently announced that more than 1,000 people in the UK have now donated a kidney anonymously to a stranger, with the 1,000th altruistic kidney donor being Neil Cheetham (59) from Devon, whose donation took place in 2023 🙌
