The great Lindy Washburn is retiring today. There's not enough space to write all the accolades Lindy deserves other than to say she is among a select group who elevated The Record to heights never b4 seen. Working with her was watching a master at her craft. northjersey.com/story/news/hea…

Our members are among the hundreds nationwide walking out today to stop #GannettGreed. CEO Mike Reed has decimated newsrooms, destroyed local coverage and turns a blind eye to the financial struggles of his staff while pocketing millions himself.

As an environmental reporter in NJ, I spent years looking at air quality data, seeing it spike on high ozone days rarely getting close to 150. I never thought I would ever see the air quality index scores I have seen today. Absolutely stunning in the worst possible way.

NEW Among the massive buildings that have risen along NJ’s Hudson waterfront, few could rival the plan to build 4 high-rise towers on a fetid & fallow piece of land in Edgewater linked to a federal investigation of Sen. Bob Menendez. w Kristie Cattafi northjersey.com/story/news/wat…

“Maybe the year 2050 they’ll get the [light rail] to Bergen,” said Albert Cafiero, who headed Bergen’s transit cmte. He told that to a Record reporter in 1996. I read hundreds of clips from the last 30 years, spoke to 12+ people to understand this saga. northjersey.com/story/news/tra…
