Gov. Hochul has referred the case of Monroe County DA Sandra Doorley (she of caught-on-body-cam-invoking-her-position fame) to the new-ish Commission on Prosecutorial Conduct, per David Propper. nypost.com/2024/04/28/us-…

.WXXI News has body cam footage of the Monroe County DA repeatedly invoking her position and being generally belligerent after she was stopped for speeding near her home.

Update, in brief: even after 2 years’ experience of duplicitous bargaining by Gannett, we were floored by what they pulled today. Inserting new language into agreed-upon sections and hoping we wouldn’t notice. We did, and so there’s no contract. 1/

To this day I get tips about the Brink's heist and its unanswered questions. Hard to believe this book soon will be seven years old. It was a pleasure to write and I'll never forget the many hours of research and the true characters whom I met, many who show up in the book. (3/7)

If you haven't read my books - and, if you have, thank you - what better time to start than now. Since I have some extra time, feel free to ask me questions about them. The first is this: (2/7) barnesandnoble.com/w/seven-millio…

I’ve had an incredible year reporting for The New York Times, but the end of my fellowship is approaching fast and I’m looking for a new opportunity!

I’ve written for outlets across the Northeast and have experience with both breaking news and longterm enterprise stories.

Bring an understanding and background that makes interviews more in-depth and interesting. My fav interviews have always been with folks like Spevak, Gary Craig. We deserve local journalist. I worry how watered down our local news might become if we outsource our local stories

Seven days into our strike for fair pay and working conditions, we’re OVERWHELMED by the love from our community.

$25K to keep us afloat. Countless visitors and fellow picketers. So many acts of solidarity. And we haven’t eaten so well in, well, ever.
