We’ve been so moved seeing the #FundThePlan videos over the past few weeks. Now, we want to get our call to #FundThePlan out far and wide. Here’s a little something we’ve put together for the campaign. We’d love your help making some noise with it 🙏

The Labour government has launched a new cost-cutting drive aimed at Access to Work, which insiders fear could destroy the scheme and lead to disabled people being forced to quit their jobs. disabilitynewsservice.com/second-wave-of…

Sarah Sackman KC MP - I’ve written to you several times about the delivery plan for ME. All 72 Lib Dem MPs agree it needs to be properly funded. Would be great to see my MP say the same #fundtheplan

Thank you Tessa Munt MP 🔸 and all those in the Liberal Democrats who support #LongCovid and #MECFS. Many ppl with LC also meet the criteria for ME/CFS diagnosis & with clinics closing all over the country, it is essential that the government Ashley Dalton MP listen to us #WorldMEDay

1/Our Rapid Response to recent BMJ Opinion piece suggesting reframing false “illness beliefs” have a primary role in recovery from ME/CFS This rapid response was supported by 92 medical & scientific experts researching, treating or living with ME/CFS. bmj.com/content/389/bm…

2/To be clear We would not consider Hopium and no research funding acceptable care for patients living with cancer, multiple sclerosis or MND/ALS, so why would we accept this for those suffering ME/CFS and Long Covid? We shouldn’t. And we won’t.

3/these outdated beliefs need to be buried w/the dinosaurs where they belong. Time for a paradigm shift in the way we view PAIS. Patients need proper hope in the form of funded biomedical research into PEM, drug therapy trials and multidisciplinary care It’s long overdue

The Department for Work and Pensions has unlawfully failed to respond to a request to see a secret paper on the department’s safeguarding failures, casting doubt on a minister’s pledge to open DWP to “public scrutiny”. disabilitynewsservice.com/dwps-unlawful-…

Disabled peers have told a committee of MPs that they face a “daily fight” just to be able to do their job, because of their continuing battle against the access barriers within the House of Lords. disabilitynewsservice.com/disabled-peers…

Dan Wyke 🦠➡️🧠🔥 I wonder if by the time we get to this point, we're already so disillusioned that 'no help' was expected. What I can't forgive is that they offer no advice on how to stop the disease progressing. No warnings about over-doing it. No explanation of PEM. It's outright negligence.

The latest pay disputes are highly triggering for those of us with #LongCovid. Trade Unions are shouting about NHS staff not being valued with low pay, but we are still getting messages weekly about members who cannot access support for IHR, dismissal or phased returns. 1/2

This 👇 We are being contacted regularly by exasperated disabled people who are at their wits end because they aren’t getting trade Union support at vital points in their #LongCovid journey. It’s disappointing at best and neglectful at worst. The RCN Unite the union: join a union UNISON Healthcare
