Dr Jenny Ceolta-Smith (PhD OT) Continued to work for 2 years with horrible impact on symptoms. During that time went to part time, didn’t help. Had amazing support and added lots of adjustments, didn’t help. Have now lost my job and still feel awful.

This is now the “back to normal” of going to a healthcare appointment & risking coming home with more illness than you arrived with. This is everyone taking “personal responsibility” aka not give a 🤬 about anyone else! Disgusting & wholly negligent in a world where tech can help

True. Symptoms and flares are so unpredictable that it is almost impossible to commit to a fixed work schedule in terms of hours, but also in terms of amount of work. Very hard to sustain oneself under these circumstances.

Dr Jenny Ceolta-Smith (PhD OT) I would happily participate, working part time from home with LC. It’s not as easy as it looks to many people that only see part time from home without the daily struggle and the sick part.

WorkingAndNotWorkingWithLongCovid Dr Jenny Ceolta-Smith (PhD OT) Long Covid Support 🌍 Speaking personally, years into sustaining work with Long Covid (and not dissing the good sides), I am exhausted to the point where it's exhausting even trying to rest. Not being able to keep food down isn't helping at the moment, probably, as energy needs to come from somewhere.

Dr Jenny Ceolta-Smith (PhD OT) I would gladly participate as I worked far too long and no doubt did excess damage. The sustainability part is vital. Especially when considering job roles.

Dr Jenny Ceolta-Smith (PhD OT) Solent NHS Trust #hellomynameisAngela Of course.
I would highlight that having supportive practice at work is key to physical and emotional health.

is tough, and it’s emotionally wrenching ‘appearing stupid’ in front of colleagues when word retrieval is evasive.

I was lucky to be in the team I was. ❤️
