NY's FY 2025 budget failed to create a permanent compensation fund for the child care workforce. NYS Legislature, Governor Kathy Hochul, get this done now before the 2024 legislative session ends!

We’re calling on the NYS Legislature and Governor Kathy Hochul to end the practice of tying child care assistance directly to a parent’s exact hours of work and allow families presumptive eligibility to child care assistance. It’s time to make child care accessible for ALL families

The NYS Legislature & Governor Kathy Hochul need to shorten the time it takes to get help paying for child care. Sarah Clark has the solution: presumptive eligibility.
NY doesn't work without child care.
Yesterday, the New York City Council held a joint oversight hearing for the General Welfare & Finances Committees in response to the FY25 Executive Budget. We want to shout out Lincoln Restler & Diana Ayala for bringing attention to CityFHEPS & how it supports faster shelter exits.
