I've fought for the south west forests of WA for 25 years

They hold my memories, love, tears

They are dying. Already. in this changed climate

And WA is still expanding fossil fuels

I am terrified of not hearing bird song within my lifetime

Broken 💔

My parents told me it was ok to do a Bachelor of Arts at 18 cos it’d help me figure out what I really wanted to study and I’d pay my HECS off once I started working full time. As a sole parent with disability I have never worked full time and I don’t know if I’ll ever pay it off

An American news website picked up our recent baby quoll story which is lovely, but I'm losing it at how they've described Mt Gibson's location 😭

Tanya Plibersek met with delegates from NT Traditional Owners in 2023 to hear why they desperately need federal help to protect their sacred waters.

That she can even consider delegating this power to states and territories after that beggars belief.

Record floods in Borroloola, 100s evacuated. Waters extend across the Beetaloo Basin where frackers want to drill 6000 wells and unleash 1.2 billion tonnes of emissions.

It’s madness to be pursuing this industry here as we face dangerous climate change.

What flood? What cyclone Megan?
More than 200mm across a huge area, occupied by one of Australia’s dirtiest mines the McArthur River mine. Yet there isn’t even a weather radar to give visibility to the frequent cyclones and flood events that visit Borroloola and the Barkly.

Please watch and share this moving speech by Tiwi leader Therese Bourke in the Senate last week.

She's asking the Australian Govt to stop a law that would threaten First Nations consultation rights about offshore gas projects, and effectively bypass federal enviro law.

The Australian Govt wants to pass a law to bypass EPBC Act protections for offshore gas projects. It would concentrate power in Minister King (responsible for promoting the industry) and could threaten First Nations consultation rights.

Yep, it’s bad.
