1/ A 24-hour wait in Emergency Departments should be a never event. January-September 2023, there were 36,025 waits for 24 hours or more in EDs. In September 2016, 7 people waited for 24 hours or longer & in September 2023, the number was 3,927. A 56,000% increase.
