Oh my God. Oh my God. Louisa Loveluck I am stunned. You and colleagues across the Middle East left it all on the field. You risked your physical and mental health and delivered groundbreaking, moving stories that cannot be replaced. Love & respect.
If Jeff Bezos could afford to spend $75 million on the Melania movie & $500 million for a yacht to sail off to his $55 million wedding to give his wife a $5 million ring, please don't tell me he needed to fire one-third of the Washington Post staff. Democracy dies in oligarchy.
The The New York Times has no debt, $1 billion on hand, and is approaching 15 million subscribers. The The Washington Post competes with them daily on stories, and often beats them. Jeff Bezos should sell to someone who knows how to compete in this field. He obviously doesn't.
