Doctors like quds ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿฆ€ and Francesco Palazzo๐Ÿฆ€ canโ€™t become consultants soon enough

The sooner the ladder pullers that are the architects of worse patient care and the destruction of medical standards retire the better!

Kat Ot seems utter lunacy to me as a member of the public that doctors have to put up with this system. It seems totally at odds to providing a motivated and skilled workforce. Do the BMA and RCS want doctors to leave?

I have little else to add to this absolute sorry situation

Please - leadership of NHS England Workforce, Training and Education

What are you all doing.

So sad to see the disintegration of medical education being facilitated by a few

Please do your job- or have someone who can.

Physician associates aren't here to replace doctors.

But their introduction in the UK began in response to difficulties recruiting GPs and A&E doctors.

Medical directors also admit that they hire PAs as 'gap filling for medical staff'.

Even PA propaganda tells on itself.

Yep

Specifically prevented

The only solution is to ensure PA roles are constrained and made as a proper assistant role not as a doctor substitute

St Georgeโ€™s showing its hand.

They want to use PAs to the very edge of whatโ€™s legally defensible, regardless of risk to patients or any national โ€˜guidanceโ€™.

This shows that employers cannot be trusted to determine a genuinely safe scope for PAs.

They will need to be forced to.

One of the main reasons we can do this is that the public understand and trust doctors. They know we have extensive training and spend decades learning how to do our job and we are heavily regulated. 2/n

In the past there was almost a Stockholm syndrome like affinity amongst my colleagues to remain in the NHS โ€ฆ

โ€ฆa decade or two on, and that goodwill is gone. Many junior docs planning their escape to systems where their skills are valued

Has anyone ever been taken to action over this? It would seem petty of a college to ping a doc whoโ€™d left by clearly indicated year of fellowship eg MRCGP(2007)

Precisely

Although missed out โ€œkindlyโ€

โ€œGP to kindly chase the CT angio reportโ€

โ€œGP to kindly re-refer to Gen Surgโ€

โ€œGP to kindly organise inpatient GA for paediatric MRIโ€

Gahhhh!
