Asking people the same q before and after my talk always makes me a bit nervous. But once again, the result is identical: Most of us are worried about climate change, but we don't know what to do. When we understand how we can make a difference, we feel empowered & ready to act!

To the endless debate between whether we need individual or systemic climate action, my answer is … YES. What is a system made of, other than individuals? And how does a system change, other than by individuals calling for and advocating for and making that change happen?

Thirty years ago modelers created a "business-as-usual" scenario, known as IS92a, to help understand the potential future of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Relative to that prediction, all of our collective efforts have only slightly slowed the accumulation of carbon dioxide.

Great article on the obstacles of #GreenTech . Innovation alone is not enough, if the financial & policy support is not sufficient.

Here are the big takeaways from the IPCC Synthesis Report released today. First, climate change has already caused widespread and substantial losses to almost every aspect of human life on this planet, and the impacts on future generations depend on the choices we make NOW.

Much has changed here since Elon took over. Based on my own before-and-after expts, climate denial responses are up 15-30x. Changes in followers are even more dramatic: Stef's analysis shows that climate accounts have seen little change while denial accounts have boomed.
