Senate Republicans on the E-12 Conference Committee are asking House DFLers to accept a proposal without even having a copy of it. NEVER would a superintendent or school board approve a contract without reading it. This is truly outrageous behavior. #mnleg

.Governor Mark Dayton: " I have one remaining, most heartfelt request. I ask you please to review your School Safety legislation with me, reach a mutual agreement, and then send it to me as a stand-alone bill. It is far too important to be subjected to the endgame maneuverings" #mnleg x.com/MattSwenson/st…

Seriously, Speaker Daudt. Seems to me that Telling school districts they can “access other funds” — in other words using money they already have for other purposes — doesn’t cut it when they are SHORT OF MONEY. #mnleg

Like Commissioner @BCassellius, we're beyond disappointed in this latest school funding stunt. Why no standalone bill? Why no new money? Why allow districts to take money from teacher professional development funds? What a slap in the face. #mnleg

#mnleg debating passage of the education and tax conference committee report. The Republican majorities pit our students against tax breaks for corporations. Wrong priorities for Minnesota

Rep. Julie Sandstede on the combo K-12 / tax bill: Much of the school funding isn’t new but rather redirected from professional development, “a poke in the eye to teachers.” #mnleg

Why must it be one or the other? Teachers need the support, time, collaboration, and resources for quality professional development to keep them at the top of their game in supporting students, families, and each other. x.com/uptakemn/statu…

GOP Education Plan, link tax cuts for business to funding our students. Educators to chose between PD or job cuts. Ed funding is only from “shifts” (Remember Pawlenty?) #timeforchange #Election2018 Get involved, advocate for students! A Better Minnesota Education Minnesota EdMN Aspiring Educators

I vote NO to irresponsible fiscal policy, shifts and gimmicks from budget reserves, and a shell game disguised as “new” school emergency/safe school funding #mnleg
