I had the pleasure to compile this month's @EMBARK_JPIAMR #AMR digest: antimicrobialresistance.eu/category/amr-d… Featuring: *Global AMR drivers - Kasim Allel *Env. barriers to AMR - ANTIVERSA *MGE ecology - @mcastledine96, Ilmur Jónsdóttir *Origin of ARG mobility - CARe and many more!
I am so happy to see this out in the world! Our work exploring #turbidity 🟫⬛️and #predator_prey interactions in tadpoles is out in the Journal of Experimental Biology ! We find that the developmental environment shapes the way tadpoles response to visual stimuli 👁️⬛️👁️⬜️ #tadsrule #turbidityqueens
I am looking for a PhD researcher to work in #AMR, #plasmids, #CRISPR and #phage interactions in gut microbiome University of Jyväskylä. Apply before 31st July. ats.talentadore.com/apply/doctoral…
Get to know the wonderful Chloe Fouilloux (she/her) in this ECR Spotlight –out now in the Journal of Experimental Biology #WomenInSTEM Faculty of Mathematics and Science journals.biologists.com/jeb/article/22…
On my way to #CRISPR2023 🧬🧫 So excited!! I really enjoyed making this poster & learned a lot of new cool skills (such as time management😅) You just have to trust the process!! I had a vision😇 You will find me at poster session #2 poster 102😊 Made entirely with Vectornator
The end is near! This **Friday at 12 p.m. Helsinki time**, to be precise. If you would like to watch my PhD defense live please feel free to slide into my DMs for the link. Poison frogs 🐸, ecology 🎍, behaviour 🔥 and surely some tears from my face! 🥲 Faculty of Mathematics and Science Bibiana Rojas
Response to sex-specific chemical signals depend on cue type (waterborne vs deposited) and focal individual sex: journals.biologists.com/jeb/article-ab…. By Justine C. with Emily Knott and Łukasz Michalczyk
I am so excited tell you that Justine C.'s tardigrade work is out in the world in Journal of Experimental Biology. 🌊🐻 She has spent over 2 years developing the protocol to make this paper a reality! Give this work some love & read about sex + chem. cues in the cutest microorganisms around!
Male and female tardigrades are indistinguishable, so how do they tell the sexes apart? Justine C. shows that female tardigrades can smell both sexes, hanging out with both, but males ignore other males and are only attracted to the scents of females journals.biologists.com/jeb/article/22…
Four PhD positions available in University of Jyväskylä Finland, one of these in my research group! The topic is phage-bacterium interaction using environmental isolates, highly motivated candidates encouraged to apply! ats.talentadore.com/apply/doctoral…
Looking for motivated ppl! Postdoc and PhD positions (1 each) available in an exciting European Research Council (ERC) funded project University of Jyväskylä diving into the world of ”giant” phages. Apply before 31.1. Links below.
