Very excited to be presenting with Kenji with on behalf of World Health Organization (WHO) Dana McCoy and the #GSED team about our work on creating global norms for #ECD in children 0-3 years of age.
Excited to present on benchmarks for an #ECD assessment in a session with Lauren Pisani, Hirokazu Yoshikawa, and researchers from Uniandes and Save the Children US at #CIES2024 CIES. Come join us on Wednesday at 1830 (drink in hand?) for a celebration of a decade of #IDELA .
Had a fantastic kickoff to the new semester with Jonathan Seiden's excellent presentation on his ECD measurement work at our colloquium and super interesting conversations about child development across countries with Chika Ezeugwu and other PhD students from four universities!
Many negative things are happening worldwide, but also much good. Dana McCoy, jorge cuartas, and I wrote a research letter in JAMA Pediatrics that shows #nurturingcare for children is improving in many places and these improvements are linked to better #ECD .

Our new (4-paragraph!) paper in JAMA Pediatrics shows that countries' gains in #nurturingcare are associated with significant improvements in early childhood development. Jonathan Seiden jorge cuartas Harnessing Global Data for Young Children jamanetwork.com/journals/jamap…

Call for papers for an exciting new Special Issue at Developmental Psychology, 'Majority Country Methods for Developmental Psychology: Evidence and insights from diverse global settings' led by Catherine Draper.
A year and a half later, our #childcare commentary is finally out! Check out why we believe childcare is an 'essential ingredient' for child, family, and societal well-being. publications.aap.org/pediatrics/art…
