What's Labour response when you say they should have a plan for childcare?

'It's not our job'.

The Conservatives are the only party with a plan to support families with the cost of childcare.

Liberals sell you one thing and deliver another.

Affordable childcare is wonderful but if you can’t access it, it’s another empty promise.

Finland has free universal daycare from 8 months until school age and have a birth rate below 1.5.

So obviously childcare isn't the answer.

Nothing says 'men don't even listen to women' more than:
Women : yeah we're done doing all the domestic labor and childcare with zero help, while paying half the bills.
Men : women have got to do all the domestic labor, childcare and pay half if you want to keep a man!

Hey media people it would be really nice if we could stop calling Molly Ticehurst a childcare worker and give her the title her qualification entitled her to - an early childhood educator.

Childcare is an economic issue, an equality issue and about the wellbeing of children. It’s time for immediate action, with longer term reform to follow.

girl fieri Just had this conversation yesterday. Part time isn’t really an option because half my pay, still need childcare for half the time, and inevitably there would be hours creep from my job.

Why are there no good options?!

95$ billion dollars to aid a war our president won’t even admit that we are actively fighting meanwhile childcare for 1 year costs more than 4 years of community college, housing in the U.S is unaffordable for like half of renters, interest rates are so high people can’t afford

I’m gonna explain one more time. For those who say people on benefits are scroungers. My story. I had a partner, we had a beautiful family, we had a good life, he died. Our youngest was 3yr, I couldn’t afford childcare, we were grieving, I was forced onto benefits. Not asking for

My dad is 71.

Today he was telling me about the before-school care program he volunteers with — it’s at the very same elementary school he went to as a kid. It’s a town with lots of struggling families, and childcare is a huge need.

I just though that was pretty special ❤️

Ensuring child care for all could add 2.2 million jobs to the economy, increasing the GDP by 274 billion.

No one should be paying 1/3 of their take home pay on childcare. It’s keeping people out of the workforce.
