GTA new home sales in April were 65% below the 10-year average

Remember when experts argued for years that Canada's population boom was sustainable & we just have to triple housing completions?

Population is still booming, but new housing is falling

Why is anyone convinced that legalizing single-stair buildings will actually result in more family-sized units being built?

This is the unfortunate truth about housing affordability

It is very easy to make housing unaffordable

Has anyone covered how the increase in the capital gains tax will impact the construction of PBR housing?

While the increased CCA rate for PBR is an incentive, the increase in the capital gains tax is a disincentive.

I’m wondering if the latter outweighs the former.

This is a good example of why you should never blindly believe what an expert says

No matter their credentials

Because even someone with a PhD in neuroscience from Stanford

Can get very basic concepts terribly wrong
