Devolution under Labour has been a disaster and Wales has gone into reverse since the establishment of the Senedd. If there was a vote to abolish the Senedd I’d be joining the overwhelming majority of Party members and increasing numbers of the public in voting to abolish.

If it wasn’t enough robbing pensioners of their hard-earned winter fuel payment they now set their sights on hiking taxes for working people. The Labour Party are the enemy of anybody who has worked hard, earnt a bit of money and wants to provide for their family.

Labour’s shameful decision to scrap Winter Fuel Payments shows they have the wrong priorities. Welsh Conservatives will always support our pensioners who should never have to choose between eating and heating.

Jane was a hardworking and committed councillor who represented her community and City with distinction. I’ll remember our chats (and frequent political disagreements) with fondnesses. Thoughts and prayers are with Jane’s family and friends at this acutely sad time.

Despite having the power to reverse disastrous 20mph speed limits Cardiff Labour have again doubled down and supported this insane policy. Despite Labour criticism, I won’t apologise for doing my job and standing up for hardworking residents and organisations across Cardiff.

We now live in a country where something that has never been taxed is now called a tax break. The UK; highest levels of tax, crumbling public services, absent and inadequate infrastructure. The UK under Labour; closed for business and we’ll all be poorer for it.

Referring to important roles within our Education Service as ‘pointless’ is quite frankly insulting to staff and the public we serve. The overwhelming number of roles that include ‘inclusion’ in job titles support thousands of learners (including those with ALN) across our City.

Regrettably, this damaging approach taken by the Senedd Group Leader will only lead to further disillusionment between MS’ and the majority of party members but also a sizeable number of voters (and majority of our voters) who would scrap the Senedd.

It stretches the bounds of reasonableness for unionists to even consider, let alone enable the formation of a government led by separatists. The primacy of any Plaid-led government will be the furtherance of the independence cause. This would be disastrous for Wales.

In June 2025, the UK borrowed £20.7bn - and spent £16.4bn paying debt interest. This is a doom loop. Only tax cuts + growth can break it. Without that, the future looks utterly grim.

A £2k cap on pension salary sacrifice? That’s not fairness; it’s a tax grab on people trying to do the right thing. Taxing people for saving for their own retirement is madness. It punishes responsibility and exposes how desperate this government has become.
