Yesterday, I was notified that I am now the interim Speaker of the House. As my first act, I've called for a special election to fill vacant seats in the House - I wish all my fellow Democrats good luck and I look forward to a more active chamber.

Congratulations to all new members for their election win. Looking forward to working with you all in the remainder of the term to revitalise the House.

My fellow representatives voted for S. 4017 today based on their own assessments and opinions. The job of a member is not to follow alongside all bills regardless of their own view.. to see the VP attack members for voting their opinion and swear revenge for it is preposterous.
