“Gaza may well be our last chance to save humanity. If we allow the wheels of this genocidal Zionist engine to keep turning, there’ll be no more limits to fascism, no red lines before which they halt.”

Incredible piece by susan abulhawa. Read every word👇

I’ve long thought this, although could not articulate it as well.
If, as a species, we are incapable of putting a halt to a genocide being committed, live, on TV, aided & abetted by bad faith actors…
what hope have we of pulling together, to face what’s ahead in coming decades?

So this is what I have learned. That nothing is now sacred. Nothing is too valued, too important, too vulnerable not to be hacked and stacked and used as fuel on capitalism’s bonfire.

For eight months, she's been bombed and most of her family has been killed

Gaza is only 25 miles long and 5 miles wide and surrounded by walls and oceans

She was born into a life of hell with no escape

You can see the pain in her eyes

Unbelievable.

Japan isn’t just on-selling Australian gas, it’s is on-selling more gas than Australia exports to it.

And the Australian Government is telling the Australian people we need to approve more new climate destroying gas export projects to keep the lights on in

Peter Dutton has incorrectly claimed former Prime Minister John Howard retired at a time of his choosing. Howard lost his own seat of Bennelong at the 2007 federal election, the second PM after Stanley Bruce in 1929 to do so.

Vincent Namatjira said, of his new exhibition, “I paint the world as I see it”.

Gina Rinehart hated the result, but we made an artwork she loves. crikey.com.au/2024/05/16/gin…

So let me get this straight ...

Albanese condemns those protesting against genocide for the language they adopt.

Offers no condemnation of the party carrying out the genocide.

Have I got it?

In the first few months of Israels genocide in Gaza we often saw the Israeli ambassador on our TV screens, trying to convince us that what Israel was doing was right. We don't see the ambassador as much now.
