Glacier tentacles?! Fjord ice looks like it's being cracked apart by the glacier and iceberg calving, causing fractures that stretch up to 5 km! Stunner of a European Space Agency Sentinel 2 image with amazing colours, bergs and a couple of small meltwater lakes thrown in for good measure!

In University of Allahabad, a single hostel for e. g. Holland Hall only had produced more than 50 JRFs (including Akhilesh Yadav , Uday Pratap Yadav and many more) in different subjects. Who actually cares?

The debris thickness results have already been used in an Swiss National Science Foundation project by VAW Glaciology to understand debris influence on glacier evolution at the regional scale, emphasizing that debris has a strong influence on the evolution of individual glaciers. tc.copernicus.org/articles/16/16…

Here is a summary what is currently going on in the alps with our glaciers. The images speak for themselves. #climatechange #LuetziBleibt #GlobalWarming #climatecrisis Matthias Huss GLAMOS VAW Glaciology Melaine Le Roy Dr. Heïdi Sevestre

A new study on Glacier dynamics assessment in Eastern Dhauliganga basin, Kumaun Himalaya, by Dhanendra Singh (PhD). The clean-ice glaciers retreated at a rate of 4.8–33.7 m/yr, whereas debris-covered glaciers retreated at the rate of 2.9–28.8 m/yr during 1994–2018. rgs-ibg.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/ge…

Harsh Vats Dhanendra Singh (PhD) Intresting find, this may also help in establishing climatic linkages between loose debris and glacial retreat and the cumulative impact of the warming in either conditions.Harsh Vats Dhanendra Singh (PhD)

Dr Shailesh Nayak stands as a beacon in the realm of oceanography & Earth sciences. He pioneered India's first Tsunami Warning System, significantly bolstering the nation's disaster response capabilities. Many congratulations sir Dr Shailesh Nayak 🎉
