Built under IWAI Jal Marg Vikas Project, Sahibganj MMT in Jharkhand was inaugurated by PM Shri Narendra Modi in September, 2019. With a cargo handling capacity of 3.03 MTPA, the terminal is connected with NH 80 through a four-lane approach road. #inlandwaterways

.IWAI is creating freight village at MMT Varanasi to address multi-modality & ensure better #Connectivity . One of the three MMTs built under Jal Marg Vikas Project on #nw 1, this terminal was inaugurated in November, 2018 by PM Shri Narendra Modi .

Built at a cost of 82.48 crore & a capacity of 77,000 TEU under Jal Marg Vikas Project by IWAI , IMT Kalughat on NW 1 is critical for transportation of cargo originating or destined for hinterland of North Bihar. Besides, it provides connectivity to Nepal for EXIM cargo.

Aimed to enhance transport efficiency on National Waterway 1 in order to handle the growing cargo movement, the New Navigational Lock at Farakka in West Bengal has been built at a cost of 374.5 crore by IWAI under Jal Marg Vikas Project.
