The clear overlap between people facing socio-economic discrimination and people with a history of conviction strengthens the argument to include both as additional grounds in equality law

Delighted to be at the Irish Human Rights & Equality Commission conference on promoting socio-economic equality in employment.

It makes a strong statement to begin the day with speakers who either have direct experience of socio-economic discrimination or work with people with lived experience of it

Important piece on socio-economic discrimination and the need to #AddThe10th ground to equality law.

Also heartened to see focus on people with convictions given the overrepresentation in the criminal justice system of people who also experience socio-economic discrimination

The ability of people with convictions histories to achieve their potential continues to be limited by prejudice and inequality.
