So many young women don't realise how relatively recently the rights they take for granted were won.

In office work, men were called Managers whilst equivalent working women were called Supervisors so they didn't have to pay women the same as men. We have equal State Pension age in the name of equality when we've never had it. #50swomen

There you have it. Nail on the head. The crux of the matter. Governments pushed #50sWomen deeper into the mire, ensuring they were even more worse off than men. True equality principles ignored. Success in delivering an action is not the same as success in delivering an outcome.

The 'excuse' that SPA was hiked 4 #1950swomen due to 'achievement' of equalization between men & women of SPA is null & void considering the court's 'judgement' that such legislation did not guarantee an equality of outcome makes a mockery of justice system & successive govts
