It's well understood that plurality voting systems like the UK’s “first-past-the-post” system (FPTP), perform comparatively badly in terms of proportionality.

Important and interesting analysis. Next election could be most disproportional ever - with Labour’s seats haul far exceeding their vote haul (and everyone else under-represented relative to votes won)

Can we now just go through the full list of authoritarian countries and do one 'Safety of xxx Bill' after the other. Small price to pay for parliament to make the world a better place.

Not even a majority of Tory voters or Leavers want the Rwanda policy go through in its current format.

With neither a mandate nor any popular demand or support for this, the government ploughs on regardless.

This must be one of the historically least successful attempts at increasing your majority by re-holding elections within less than a month.
