Justice4Elsie Why are more people not upset about Gosport? If we all cared more about each other, then large organisations wouldn't be able to do so much damage. Were the Gosport nurses from the local community? Or did they move there because of their jobs?
While I’d say she was a curates egg, Nick Wallis has done a very perceptive blog on Susan Crichton postofficescandal.uk/post/the-bleat…. As Nick likes the Fall, and we switch to Chris Aujard later, on whom Nick has already written, this song is limbering up in my mind g.co/kgs/526iq3k
Same tactics used in NHS coverup culture, #BrightonHoveCC Coroner altered #UHSussex statements saying resolving to 'successfully treated' & x-rays taken on admission to 'after admission' - public servants are world class at misleading others Ministry of Justice

Dan Neidle Lee Castleton Richard Moorhead Financial Times Yes. In theory their regulator's professional standards should require anyway, but time & time again these are flouted. It's why an Individual Duty of Candour law is also required for all public servants, including throughout the NHS, where flouting re honesty is commonplace!
👇so many elements of the #PostOfficeScandal are present in the NHS cover-up culture
Strategy of attrition - Deception & obstruction of disclosure - abuse of power & privilege - No plausible answer for lapses in patient safety - misleading the Courts (Coroner) - Toxic
Tony Stowell There are so many of us with you fighting for justice for our beloved parents abused and neglected by the state systems, NHS, Local Authority, court processes, all failing to protect vulnerable older people Hourglass (Safer Ageing)
Conservatives The #Conservatives when other major parties offer to support a Statutory Duty of Candour for all public servants to stop scandals like #PostOfficeScandal happening again

PCJ Dr Chris Day You neglected to mention the heinous strategy of PO Senior Managers, including the CEO, aided and abetted by legal professionals, of covering up and failing to disclose critical evidence that proved the SPM's innocence. That is illegal. Accountability and punishment MUST follow

👇🆘⚖️
Sir Alex Chisholm CBE was 'Principal Accounting Officer' for Post Office Limited and was/is personally responsible to Parliament via the PACAC Committee. He should volunteer to assist the Statutory Inquiry with
with #BrightonHoveCC threatening to seek a cost order for our challenge to their inadequate safeguarding which lacked independence and failed to report on neglect & multiple serious incidents 👇 this is truly a major problem for whistleblowers & families

Couldn’t agree more. However worse than that, when will Treasury admit and apologise for using public funds [£100 million] to fight #MrBatesVsThePostOffice ? Or apologise for using expensive lawyers to water down claims rightfully owed to the wrongly accused? #PostOfficeScandal
Brian McBride PCJ Lucy Allan MP Liam Byrne MP House of Lords UK House of Commons Kevan Jones Kate Osborne MP Marion Fellows MP Business and Trade Committee Nick Wallis Nick Gould Rosie Brocklehurst That was Hillsborough Law ‘Duty of Candour’ Hillsborough Law Now the government proposed a watered down version. I understand Keir Starmer has said his government would commit to the Duty of Candour legislation. Will probably need a mass exodus of officials when that happens!
