Yesterday our Cadets had the fantastic opportunity to go behind the scenes at Heathrow Airport, visiting the Virgin Atlantic hanger. We got to see aircraft & engines from close up, also taking a full tour inside an aircraft from tail to cockpit. virginatlantic RAF Air Cadets

This weekend Havant RAF Air Cadets (and a staff member!!) took to the skies above Wiltshire to experience powered flight!! Flown by RAF pilots they got the chance to take the controls and learn what it feels like to be a pilot first hand. Wow… what did you do this weekend?!?

What a weekend for an expedition! We climbed so many hills on the South Downs, really earning our Award section completion. A bumper evening at 2327 Havant Squadron - Royal Air Force Air Cadets tonight with a further 5 cadets achieving their Leading cadet Classifications. 18 months ago these young people joined the RAF Air Cadets as a part of kick starting their squadron’s COVID recovery and they’re still achieving so much! @swanoc2327

Recently 5 of our Cadets went gliding with 622VGS. They were all launched to 1000 feet to put theory into practice-seeing how all the controls work to make a super smooth flight. RAF Air Cadets gives your firstflying lesson YEARS before you can have your first driving lesson!

It’s official, 2327 (Havant) Squadron has been chosen as the South West England representative for the RAF Air Cadets Marshall Trophy!!!!! This places us as one of the top 6 most improved Squadrons in the UK. We await the decision as to who will be chosen as the 2023 winner.

Last night we had an amazing visit to Chichester & District Model Aero Club. We were invited to try flying model aircraft (with a buddy box). Under the supervision of club members everyone got to fly the models at least a couple of times. Thank you for an informative & fun visit!

Today cadets & staff from Havant Squadron were lucky to tour HMS Queen Elizabeth! The Royal Navy’s largest and most advanced warship built to date. We got an insiders view of the Bridge, flight deck, hangar & more! Where else but the Air Cadets do you get opportunities like this?

We are extremely pleased to announce 2327 (Havant) Sqn RAF Air Cadets has been selected as this year's Marshall Trophy Winners. This means we have been named as the most improved Sq in the UK! When better to be awarded it than in our 65th Anniversary year! RAF Air Cadets @swanoc2327

Tonight was our second night of the Bronze Space Syllabus for our more experienced cadets. We completed some experiments and looked more closely at what it means to explore space. Seems that science really can be fun!
