A little over 100 days ago, I was elected on a platform of delivering for local people. Today, I am delighted to secure a new agreement with Sizewell C, which guarantees 500 jobs and significant new opportunities and investment for Ipswich. Here's what it means for our town:

Last week, I chaired the inaugural meeting of the All Party Parliament Group on Council Tax Reform. A Band D property in Westminster is just over £900 a year, in Hartlepool it’s nearly £2,400. It’s unacceptable, we need change and the work of this group will fight for it.

It was wonderful to welcome Christine and Becky from Hartlepool Carers to Parliament today. Their work for our town is extraordinary and it was an honour for me host them.
