We have proposed a Budget Expenditure of ₹1,96,462 crore for FY 2023-24 which reflects 26% growth compared to the FY 2022-23

Allocation to School Education:

₹17,072 cr is allocated which is 12% higher than the previous year.
₹200 cr for 117 School of Eminence
₹30 cr for Punjab Young Entrepreneur Program
₹100 cr for Installation of Roof-Top Solar Panel Systems in Govt Schools

Allocation to Medical Education & Research
₹1015 cr has been allocated
2 New Medical colleges with 100 MBBS seats to start in Karpurthala & Hoshiarpur at the cost of ₹422 cr & 412 cr respectively
