First retreat w/ our Atlanta International School Primary School Leadership Team. We took time to share 9 identity markers and find connections btwn who we are & how that impacts our actions & sense of belonging in shared spaces.

We are back AISLearns, Primary School staff unpack the complex relationship between identity, community, and belonging w/in our intentional inclusive, multilingual learning environment.

Our Primary School Leadership Team took 30 minutes to interview 5 students each about their thoughts on community on our fourth day of school. Here are just some of the responses that brightened our day AISLearns.

Working w/ our AISLearns Grade-level Leaders to identify & share our School Reform Init. Compass Points leadership styles in order to self reflect, build community, promote understanding & lay the foundation for norm building.

Working in a school like AISLearns w/ 4 language programs is SO exciting. Today I had a chance to see a wide variety of scaffolds used by our outstanding Chinese Ts to provide differentiated instruction to get Ss engaged in all language domains.

Great IB PYP provocation for our AISLearns Ss starting inquiry around changes in technology over time. Lots of great observations & questions in multiple languages!

We had lots of fun building our Primary School parent community AISLearns using Kagan Publishing & Professional Development w/ StandUp, HandUp, PairUp structure to share ideas about what makes a highly effective school.
