A day at sea on HDMS Peter Willemoes learning from the Royal Danish Navy's experience of operating the platform on which Venturer's design is based. An incredible, professional, and welcoming crew. And a pleasure to sail with the Chief of the RDN. #nextgenfrigate
Privileged to welcome Venturer's sponsor, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal to the Ship for the first time. More detail in the article linked below 👇. A particularly memorable occasion for Leading Hand Adam Duncan who was presented his LSGC medal by HRH. #nextgenfrigate
The Type 31 team has successfully completed another milestone for HMSVenturer. Drop stern involves removing all support brackets from the aft end of the ship and, using ballast weights, to allow the stern to settle at its design position. #deliveringinspiration #nextgenfrigate

I am really pleased that Essex is to be affiliated with HMSVenturer following early conversations for Southend to form an affiliation with a warship. As a county, we have played a historic and active part in our country’s maritime tradition which continues with HMS Venturer🇬🇧
