Soumyadeep Bhaumik সৌম্যদীপ ভৌমিক There is a WHO plan to improve access to antivenoms in selected African countries. There will be a need to mobilise significant resources. I haven't seen many donors stepping in... There's a big diphtheria outbreak in Nigeria and money is needed to procure antitoxin and vaccines.
In MSF we believe tackling snakebite effectively requires strong community engagement. We need more support for initiatives such as the Snakebite Community Engagement Network.
