Day 2 of our Workshop at Lorentz Center with presentations on topics like: How international have international conferences been? What is their politics? How has social interaction been structured? How has the conference format been used? How inclusive are conferences?
Workshop Lorentz Center Day 3: How does atmosphere shape knowledge exchange and community building at scientific conferences? Is the (in)formal social program a distraction or the real deal of conferencing? (How) do excursions into nature facilitate thinking?
Last day of our Lorentz Center workshop. Technologies of conferencing, like the camera/microphone, coffee mugs and chalkboard were both an object of discussion and a support system throughout our sessions. What are the strangest conference technologies you have encountered?
