I’m attending a costume party tonight and I can't wait. This year, I’m going all out: I plan to go as a forklift. Hope this year’s #Halloween is fun and up-lift-ing for everyone else.

My training continues. I’m not the young groomer I once was, so getting back in shape is tougher than ever. My personal trainer suggested I schedule a maintenance check with #PIRTEK to make sure my #hydraulic hoses are ready for the new #Snocross season. Sounds like a great idea!

A little snow never slows Gary The Groomer down.. the 2019-2020 #Snocross season has begun!

It's on to #Fargo, ND, for the Country Cat Snocross National, which runs Dec. 13 and 14. It gets pretty chilly there, so I might need to double-check my antifreeze. Earmuffs wouldn't hurt, either. Snocross

I'm in Fargo, ND, for the Country Cat Snocross National that runs Friday and Saturday. According to Guinness World Records, North Dakota is where 8,962 people all made snow angels simultaneously in 2007, setting a record. My kind of state!

Know what I like best about Snocross? Everything! The competitive grit of the racers, the cheering of the fans, the smell of snowmobile exhaust, the icy chill in the air. I love it all!

Day 3 — On that #GroomerGrind

As everybody knows, I love cold weather. So, do you know what the coldest temperature ever recorded on earth was? It was minus 128.6 degrees Fahrenheit in Antarctica back in 1983. Too cold even for Snocross.

There's gold in them thar hills! At least there used to be. I'm headed to Deadwood, SD, known for its gold rush history. But I won't be digging. I'll be grooming another track, this time for the USAF Snocross National (Jan. 24-25). Of course, if I run across a nugget ...

I'm in Deadwood, SD, where Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane are buried. Suddenly, I have the itch to wear a cowboy hat and get me a grizzled sidekick to man the chuck wagon. What's happening to me?

We're in the thick of Snocross season and my grooming has never been better. In fact, the National Academy of Track Groomers has nominated me for a Groomy Award, the highest honor in my field. I'm already working on my acceptance speech.
