Maryam and her friends used to be strangers - until a child-friendly space brought them together! Thanks to Spain MFA, The Gov't of Japan, Sida and USAID's Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, UNICEF supports over 750 of these spaces across Afghanistan, offering fun, safe environments for girls like her.

By engaging with communities in churches, temples and health centeres, and by utilizing local radio, UNICEF has been able to reach 24,640 people with key information about COVID-19 vaccination. Thanks to Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, these efforts are fostering stronger, healthier communities.







Thank you Norway MFA for the generous contribution of NOK 60M (over USD 5M), which will be used to improve foundational learning for #children in the Southern and Southwest Ethiopia regional states. Stian Christensen



Today, African Ambassadors & the United Nations in China team met to discuss the #FOCAC China-Africa Action Plan, with UNICEF's George Laryea-Adjei joining remotely. They discussed how UNICEF can help leverage opportunities with China to benefit vulnerable children, youth & communities in Africa.

Young advocates highlighted how their participation can transform systems and shape lasting solutions at an event hosted by UNICEF, Indonesian Mission to the UN, @NCDalliance, and United for Global Mental Health.
