A big day for the Great Central Railway in Nottinghamshire as our trains leave the Heritage Centre for the first time in 4 years, with a journey to the mainline. Come and see us today and tomorrow and visit our beer festival in our new carriage shed.

Our beer festival is open. It’s a glorious day to come and visit the heritage centre, see full size trains, vintage busses, model and miniature trains too. If you’re coming to the Great Central Railway diesel gala, there’s a free vintage bus to connect the two halves of the line together!

Our beer festival is open until 9pm tonight and again tomorrow 12 to 9.

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes trains returned to Great Central Railway (Nottingham) this weekend. A huge effort by all involved that many won't appreciate or realise. 08784 hauled the 3 coach train from Ruddington fields to 50 steps. #heritage #volunteers
