Better tell them about the rise in safeguarding issues, more babies going into care, more perinatal mental health issues, more domestic abuse, immunisations being missed - if ever a gold star health visiting service was needed by families its now Matt Hancock Viv Bennett CBE
Great message from Betsi Cadwaladr. This year immunisations are going to be more important than ever 💉
Thoroughly recommend 👌 Flying Start Flintshire have been very fortunate to have training from Fathers Reaching Out and @vjhanley informative, inspiring and incredibly motivating duo 👏👏👏
Valuable time spent with @joannatoms at Home-Start Portsmouth filming a short video about the role of the Health Visitor to support up and coming online training for volunteers. Solent NHS Trust iHV @homestartuk #volunteering #MakingEarlyYearsCount #BabiesInLockdown

News of Public Health England being closed down. No detail on where leadership for Health Child Programme, health visiting and FNP etc will sit. Matt Hancock Department of Health and Social Care pls can you share what is happening to these important PHE functions? telegraph.co.uk/politics/2020/…
Alison Morton OBE💙 iHV UK Prime Minister Andrea Leadsom @SAPHNAsharonOBE It astounds me that after working at a senior level and coming back to front line services that commissioners and public health fail to realise the impact HV and school nursing have on our future generations. #opportunity #influence
Leanne Howlett iHV Sally Hogg @SWFTSeniorNurses Thank you for sharing this. HVs are front line when health visiting - fostering supportive relationships with families with young children is crucial. We need to fright to keep them delivering HV services to prevent erosion of the role.
I'm looking to speak to children's nurses about the impact of the pandemic on the workforce and services. I'm keen to talk to those who have been redeployed or are supporting children's mental health. This is for the next Nursing Times mag - can anyone help? #journorequest #nurse

@ProfJuneG We have the same concerns in health visiting-sending child development questionnaires through the post is not health visiting- neither is it a validated screening tool- it is just a waste of a stamp & won’t identify vulnerable children or accurately assess for developmental delay
