Flourish Class had an informative day at Chester Zoo. Some students experienced a boat ride and the zoo for the first time. Each student had the opportunity to see and learn about their favourite animals. 🐒🐘🦒🐧🦋🦇🦁🦩 #ChesterZoo

Today, Flourish took part in their first work experience day Knowsley Safari. They became animal researchers, examining the behaviour of the meerkats. They also learnt an array of facts about the animals of their choice. The students are super excited for next week! #lifeskills

Yesterday, Flourish made the most delicious vegetable curry. They took their time to collect the equipment they needed and read the instructions carefully. They even washed up after themselves 👏🏽. Well done Flourish we are super proud. #chefs #LifeSkills #cooking

Today, we took part in our second work experience session Knowsley Safari. We learnt how the sea lions are trained, practised some of the training techniques on each other, without using verbal communication. We also picked up litter and washed the cafe‘s windows. #workingHard

Another fantastic work experience session Knowsley Safari. We took the role of an animal keeper, prepping the food and going behind the scenes to feed the baboons. We enjoyed a guided tour, filled with many facts preparing us to give our own animal talks in our next session.

Flourish have loved our residential to Lakeside this week. This was the first time some of our students have been away from their parents. They challenged themselves throughout and pushed themselves out of their comfort zones. They have done us all proud! 🙂#residential #proud

Flourish enjoyed a fabulous gathering at SFX Church to celebrate baby Jesus being born. They had afternoon tea followed by a beautiful guided tour. ⛪️👼👶❤️

Flourish loved doing their Christmas shopping for their family and friends. They choose their gifts independently and practised many life skills including money handling and road safety. On return to school, they wrapped and gift tagged their chosen presents. 🎄🎁#MerryChristmas
