Our thoughts are with the families friends and colleagues (in OxonFireRescue & London Fire Brigade ) on the loss of these 2 firefighters last night. Also sending thoughts to the member of the public that passed away and those seriously injured and wish them a speedy recovery RIP

Today, as we lower our flag to half mast, we join in mourning the passing of Garda Kevin Flately Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones as he is laid to rest. We also stand in solidarity with our colleagues in An Garda SĂochána during this time of great loss

Thanks to Irish Air Corps fire and rescue service for their help as we co-responded to a road traffic collision at the aerodrome at Baldonnel. The Air Corp crew used their winch to make the scene safe working with firefighters from Tallaght fire station. No occupants on arrival.

The Health Minister has welcomed the official opening of a training college for future Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service firefighters.
