The incident at Belfast Harbour concluded at 10.57pm last night. Approximately 50 Firefighters attended a small fire on board a vessel and extinguished the fire. All crew members on the vessel were evacuated safely with no reported injuries. The cause of the fire was accidental.

“NIFRS are currently dealing with an incident within Belfast Harbour Estate. NIFRS have been in attendance since 17:17hrs on Thursday 11th April 2024.

There are approximately 40 firefighters in attendance dealing with the incident.'
