If the gov’t is building a new SCS, I hope it will incorporate supervised inhalation. Prevalence of smoking fentanyl + other drugs seems to be on the rise in #yeg, with many anecdotal reports of ppl who smoke drugs overdosing outside of SCS (which only accommodate injection).

The province used to regularly publish neighbourhood level OD data. It would be nice to see that released again to be able to pinpoint areas of #yeg with the greatest SCS need.

I see we are back to scapegoating overdose as a reason to not take action on COVID-19. If this is such a concern for Alberta's government, why have they closed several life-saving services that prevent these deaths over the past 2 years? #ableg
