(1/4) ⭐ We talk a lot about women being excluded from social protection systems but what about adverse inclusion?

The UK is disappointed that Ghana's Parliament passed the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill.

If it becomes law, this will undermine freedoms for all Ghanaians.

We encourage Ghana to protect human rights by upholding its constitutional and international obligations.

Awful news for LGBT+ people and human rights defenders in Ghana.

This Bill would criminalise anyone perceived as identifying as LGBT+ or merely advocating for their rights.

We stand with all those facing increased risk of persecution or violence simply because of who they are.
