On the sidelines of the World Health Assembly, I had the chance to commend the Malawian Health Minister, Hon Kandondo Chipondo on the progress recorded in reducing child mortality & the need to continue focus on Primary Health & HIV care with cross-border collaboration for #PHE .

Excellent bilateral discussions with #Botswana Minister of Health & President of the 77th WHA Hon Dr Edwin Dikoloti. We agreed on the importance of accelerated investment in Primary Health Care in Africa & focus on children who are the future as we finalize the pandemic treaty.

Pope Francis has warned about a globalization of indifference.

We must turn indifference or disregard for the rights and well-being of children into a globalization of peace, kindness and caring for every child, everywhere.
