I spoke today to oppose the government’s proposal to cut Winter Fuel Allowance. I voted against this because it will not only cause real hardship for many of my constituents this winter there is a real risk some will die.

If govt really want to improve the NHS, they MUST also tackle the issue of social care. In Wales alone, c1,500 patients are delayed discharge because of a lack of services. These delays cost the NHS £14m EVERY SINGLE MONTH. Improving social care is absolutely essential.
