Canadian homeowners have an average equity position of 77% (not including HELOC). Surprisingly, average equity has increased most rapidly in the under-35 age group. Chalk this up to tighter mortgage rules and larger avg down payments, thanks in part to the "bank of mom and dad"

Rental market has rebounded strongly as international students have returned, but lease/list ratio for rental condos is still well below pre-COVID trends. Will rents continue to accelerate at current rate after the "return to school" boom?

How low is RE inventory in Ontario? 80% lower than the 2010-2015 average. So low that Ben Rabidoux had to include β€œNOT A TYPO” in bold in his latest Edge Realty Analytics report.

Largest quarterly decline in πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ avg house prices since the 1980s. 😬 Not a great sign, but plenty of reasons for optimism longer term. That and more in this month's Edge Report, now available to subscribers. edgeanalytics.ca
