We are grateful for his contribution as a Commissioner, and wish him well when he leaves the EHRC Board to take up his new post in August.

We have advised the UK Government that a change to the Equality Act 2010 - so that ‘sex’ means biological sex - could bring clarity in a number of areas, but potential ambiguity in others.

We have suggested that they carefully identify and consider the potential implications.

No matter how big or small, every employer is responsible for protecting its workforce and sexual harassment should not be tolerated.

Sport is fantastic in helping support inclusion, promoting understanding and respect, as well as bringing communities together.

Tackling antisemitism isn’t only about policy and procedure, it must be enabled by a culture that truly reflects zero tolerance of harassment and discrimination of Jewish students.
Meaningful action must be taken immediately to implement the recommendations of this investigation.

The human rights we enjoy today have been hard won.

Several hair discrimination cases have gone to court and we continue to hear of new cases.

In schools, hair discrimination can have serious and long-lasting consequences for its young victims.

Our new guidance says schools must permit certain hairstyles to comply with the law.
