Wallchart from a QUB workshop on social supermarkets yesterday.

It is *incredible* how such a complex, active network of community-led food aid infrastructure has developed so quickly here in response to people in crisis.

Imagine if we didn't need all this.

I hate videos of me, but pls make my cringing worthwhile by donating and sharing, before midday on Thurs! Thank you

I found myself wanting to say ‘Flash, we only 14 hrs to save the earth’ (an old reference for the Flash Gordon fans amongst you), but managed to avoid it 😊

As the Department for Work and Pensions says 'This is the lowest proportion of food-secure households since the introduction of household food security to the FRS in 2019 to 2020. In previous survey years, the proportion of food-secure households has been broadly stable.'

Disadvantages caused by poverty follow children through their lives & get framed as a 'drain' on social security/health/education budgets but poverty breaches the rights of children & their families. It should be recognised as the govt's responsibility & addressed from that basis
