COVID still a highly transmissible disease, impacting across healthcare, and throughout workplaces. Restricted booster eligibility is non-sensical. Use of effective masks and ventilation to protect against infection should be encouraged. No wonder NHS is broken. UK Covid-19 Inquiry

The disastrous IPC policy being quite rightly called out here. ‘Lives could have been saved’. In 2024, we *still* don’t have an NHS IPC policy mandating FFP3 masks when nursing COVID positive patients. Still surgical masks. Still inadequate. Still putting staff at risk.

Hospital admissions with Covid have risen a bit in recent weeks, after sharp falls from the significant summer wave. This is a bit earlier than I would have expected a rebound, given very recent return to work and education and the size of the summer wave. Not great news 1/3
